Shogun Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar: A Culinary Adventure Awaits in Virginia Beach

The food was prepared fresh right in front of you. The theatrics of your cook and tissing food into your mouth never gets old. The atmoshpere feels very much like an asian inspired location. Also they have the big fire at your table. The soup was good and the protien choice was great. You get alot of food portion.

Had an amazing experience took my girlfriend, my mother and step father for dinner. Food was amazing our cook was entertaining, the wait staff was very professional and accommodating. We will be coming back, perfect place to take the family, a date, a group of friends or business associates.

Been coming to this place for years. I'm pretty sure this is the same exact location I went to as a kid (decades ago before I moved to Florida). Same great food. Same great service. Same great atmosphere. 50 out of 10 would recommend. (Especially for parties)

I don't have a bad thing to say about this place, it was everything I hoped it would be. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait 40 minutes but I'm so glad we did. (We shopped around the Plaza while waiting.) The soup that comes with our meal was seriously so good and flavorful! The salad was very fresh tasting. Our chef was excellent. He was very professional and accommodated all of our special requests (allergies, likes, dislikes, etc.) He did a big fire and also popped shrimp into our mouths from his spatula. Our steak,chicken, and shrimp was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very punctual and never let our cups below half empty. The people that we were seated next too seemed to be in a bad mood and the grills definitely keep it toasty in there so no need to bundle up if you run hot easy like I do but seriously, this was the best food I've had since visiting Virginia. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone at Shogun for making our meals and our night.

10/10 recommend. The servers, chefs, hostess and owners will remember you! Owner always is asking us and others how we are doing. The food is 10/10 tastes fresh and the experience is so much fun. They also recently updated everything and it looks so nice. Defenitley recommend for a date night, family night, or even by yourself!

So much FUN, DELICIOUS FOOD & DRINKS!! Everything was fresh, great entertainment by the chefs and our Waitress was great. This restaurant is great for parties, birthdays, social events, dates, etc. You will have leftovers!!! The portions are VERY generous. I had a great time, I'll be sure to return!!

Went on a Friday night, this place absolutely deserves the praise. Food was fantastic. Everything was fresh, portions were generous, and you get a good variety of courses. I had an excellent filet cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, which already deserves a special shoutout of its own. The hibachi chef was very talented. It never gets old having them toss the shrimp in your mouth and we were laughing and having a great time about it. Shogun gives you dinner and a show, and everyone at our table had a wonderful time. We left full and happy. We're already planning to go back. Highly recommend this spot if you want great food and a great time.

During our first visit, we attended a friend's birthday dinner. We had reservations for 12 people and waited in the bar, enjoying cocktails until everyone arrived. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered one of the specialty cocktails served in a Buddha-shaped glass. The drink was good, but I wish there had been more. Now I have a unique Buddha glass! The performance by our chef was a perfect blend of entertainment and culinary skill. The classic tossing of food into our mouths never gets old! The atmosphere has a distinctly Asian-inspired vibe. Although the prices are a bit high, you receive a substantial amount of food along with the show. I highly recommend visiting to enjoy both the performance and a wonderful meal.
